

Vazhuvelil Menon, MD
Vazhuvelil Menon is a double board-certified psychiatrist with specialized training in both child/adolescent, and adult psychiatry. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care that supports patients and families through every stage of life.
Dr. Menon completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua (AUA). She went on to complete her psychiatry residency at Albany Medical Center in New York, followed by a fellowship in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at Westchester Medical Center. She has trained in many different settings including medical hospitals, outpatient and inpatient clinics, children's hospitals and Veteran's affairs hospitals. With a strong foundation in both general and developmental psychiatry, Dr. Menon brings a comprehensive and personalized approach to the care of children, adolescents and adults. She is available for psychiatric evaluations, medication management and psychotherapy. Her areas of focus are ADD/ADHD, anxiety and autism. She also has a special interest in prenatal and postpartum psychiatry.
She accepts Aetna and Optum, and can provide a superbill for patients who are out of network for insurance plans. Now accepting new patients in Texas, and New York telemedicine visits.
